The finish saw Bayley and Naomi team up to hit a 3D on Stratton, effectively taking her out of the match. Naomi had a cradle pin on Bayley, but Bayley rolled through and managed to keep Naomi's shoulders down for three to retain her title.

This was the second successful title defense for Bayley. She has held the title for 27 days after winning it from IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL.

The triple threat bout was set up on the April 26th episode of WWE SmackDown when Naomi and Stratton went to a no contest in a number one contender's match due to interference from Nia Jax.
