Dakota Kai Remains Mindful Of Rehab, Focused On Staying Healthy After Returning From ACL Injury

Dakota Kai talks about her recent recovery from an ACL injury and being mindful of her body post-in-ring return.

Dakota Kai recently returned to action after missing a torn ACL in May 2023. Even though she has been cleared to return to action, it is still a goal of hers to continue to strengthen her body the way that she was when she was going through rehab, making sure to be mindful of things such as dynamic movement.

Speaking with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone during an interview that was recorded over WrestleMania XL weekend, Kai spoke about consistency and mindfulness being the main focus and change since she's been cleared to return to action.

"In terms of my rehab and stuff, even after I've been cleared to wrestle, I still want to stay on top of that, and if that means just doing the same things I did while I was rehabbing in terms of working out and certain things. Dynamic movements and stuff, just taking the time to actually do that so I do stay on top of it and stay healthy. That's the main thing."

Dakota Kai Asuka, IYO Sky, and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL were all recently drafted to WWE Monday Night Raw. Most recently, Dakota Kai took part in the WWE Queen of the Ring Tournament. She lost in the opening round to Lyra Valkyria on the May 6 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.

She was a replacement for Asuka, who is unfortunately currently listed as being injured.
