Independent Wrestler Billy Reil Passes Away At Age 44

Billy Reil passes away at the age of 44.

The unfortunate news of Reil's passing began to circulate on Monday, April 29 after Brett Lauderdale shared a post on social media.

Reil began his wrestling career in late 1996, debuting for the NWA. He would continue his career in the world of independent wrestling until 2009, wrestling in promotions like Jersey Championship Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, and Independent Superstars Of Professional Wrestling. Reil held titles like the JCW Light Heavyweight Championship and the ISPW Light Heavyweight Championship throughout his run in the business. Reil is also known for having a multi-promotion feud with Low Ki throughout 1999 and 2000.

Reil had his final match in 2013, as he faced Biggie Biggs for the WWGP Championship at a IWA Vintage event.
