AEW Dynamite & NXT Draw Identical Viewership Numbers For 12/11

For the first time ever, AEW Dynamite and NXT drew the same viewership numbers.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the December 11 episode for both programs drew 778,000 viewers, a first since the shows started airing on television a few months ago. Despite both shows drawing the same viewership number, it still was less than what either show drew on December 4. AEW averaged 851,000 viewers while NXT drew 845,000 viewers for December 4.

In the 18-49 demographic, AEW still came out on top as usual with a 0.28 rating, good for 11th among cable originals for the day. NXT came in 21st for the day with a 0.24 rating in the same demographic. Both of those ratings are down from the week prior.

Dynamite saw The Young Bucks defeat Santana & Ortiz in a Texas Street Fight to secure a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship next week. NXT featured Finn Balor winning a No. 1 contenders match to challenge for the NXT Championship next week. In the opening match for NXT, Angel Garza defeated Lio Rush to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.
