Austin Theory addresses reports that he and Grayson Waller weren't going to be in WrestleMania XL ladder match.
Austin Theory & Grayson Waller qualified for the six-pack ladder match at WrestleMania XL on the March 29th episode of WWE SmackDown, securing their chance to compete for the WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
The Wrestling Observer reported that there was a lineup where Theory & Waller were not listed for the match despite qualifying.
Speaking on the Babyfaces podcast, Theory was asked about potential plans of the duo not being in the match.
"I didn't see it, but I heard a lot about it. I was like, 'Wow, somebody just wakes up and types something on the internet and everybody believes it.' I love it because it explains that there is just a bunch of idiots out there. When it comes to me and Grayson Waller, there was no way we weren't going to be in the tag team ladder match. We're the best team, all-around, on both rosters. Completely," he said.
Theory & Waller went on to capture the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles, now the WWE Tag Team Championships, in the bout.
They successfully defended the titles against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) on the May 3rd episode of WWE SmackDown.
