LSG Still Doesn't Have ROH Contract, Talks Changes In Company

Things are different for everyone in 2020, but LSG has seen a dramatic shift.

Now a singles wrestler, LSG is no longer a part of the Coast 2 Coast team he shared with Shaheem Ali. He's got his first Final Battle singles match this weekend. But it's not just he that has changed, ROH as a whole has made a shift. LSG told Fightful about some of the adjustments to ROH at the most recent set of tapings.

"The tapings were really cool. I think they’re doing a great job at keeping everyone safe and making sure the tapings go as smoothly as possible. I know it’s weird to not have fans there, but the set-up they have is awesome and if you’ve watched it, everyone knows that they’ve done a great job. There’s just a whole different level of intensity, just having two guys out there with no crowd. I think they’re doing a good job. You still have to look for the cameras. But, you’re also not looking out to the crowd for that affirmation. You’re more worried about your match and more focused on your opponent. I think that translates to TV. It shows that we’re competitors actually trying to win a match. We’re not really out there, like, trying to play to the crowd too much," LSG told us.

The last time we spoke to LSG, he informed us that his Ring of Honor deal had lapsed. Even though he's back with the company, he specified that it isn't under a new contract. Instead, it's under an opportunity to prove himself in a singles capacity on a wide stage.

"It was an opportunity for me to show a different side of me. If you have been following my career, you know that I’ve been working as a singles competitor outside of ROH for years. I’ve been doing my thing. So, this is kind of my chance to show people what I’ve been doing outside of ROH. If you didn’t been following my career, this is a good way for you to see what I’m capable of. Everyone thinks I’m just a high flyer and I can only do tag wrestling. I pride myself on being a really good technical wrestler. I think I opened some eyes," LSG said.

LSG is a part of a four-way match for top contendership for the ROH TV title on Final Battle this Friday.

You can see our full interview with LSG above. He'll be appearing on ROH Final Battle, Friday, December 18, 2020 on PPV.
