Steph De Lander SHOOTS SOFTLY on your favorite stars.
De Lander doesn't hold up when she's in the ring, as she has often responsible for screwing over top stars from winning titles or matches in Game Changer Wrestling as a part of her duo with Matt Cardona. So, we asked her to SHOOT SOFTLY and say nice things about some of her contemporaries.
SHOOTING SOFTLY is back with Steph De Lander.
Maki Itoh
“Oh, Maki Itoh’s the best, dude. If anyone has figured out how to
package themselves and create a brand and make money off it and be
the most entertaining person on the show and have the longest merch
line, it’s Maki. I could go on. She’s the best.”Wendy Choo / Karen Q
“Wendy Choo is awesome because there’s not many real people in
WWE sometimes, but she’s very, very real and would call out bullshit
and be like, ‘This is stupid,’ and ‘Why are we doing this?’ I respected
that a lot. So, yeah, I like Wendy Choo a lot.”Dani Mo
“Yeah, Dani Mo is awesome. She’s very, again, honest and straight up
and you don’t come by that very much. But we had one match and it
wasn’t great. But instantly we came backstage and she goes, ‘I’m so
sorry. I swear that’s not usually what happens.’ I was like, ‘Wow.’ It
wasn’t all just on her, but the fact that she had the honesty to say that,
that’s awesome. Then we worked again and it was so much better, and
we had a good match and she was like, ‘Thank you so much.’ Every
time I see her, I have a very pleasant experience with Dani. I really like
her.”Effy
“Effy, similar to what I said about Maki, has figured it out, has such a
loyal fan base and, to me, that’s more important than anything else.
So, yeah, Effy has kind of transcended being an indy wrestler and has
become a household name within wrestling. Kind of similar to what I
said about Wendy, he’s willing to die on the sword of standing up for
what he thinks and I always appreciate people like that in wrestling.”Jordynne Grace
“I think the dedication that you have to have to transform your
physique in the way that she has is like second to none from working
with her and seeing how much energy [she has]. The dedication that
Jordynne has for wrestling and for her craft is second to none, and I
think that’s why she’s really successful, but I think the sky is the limit
for Jordynne.”
