Shawn Michaels confirms a Fightful Select scoop.
As first reported by Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, the WWE main roster is slated to receive a shake up in ring announcers as Alica Taylor is moving up from NXT to the main roster. She will begin announcing the matches for WWE Friday Night SmackDown imminently.
Michaels confirmed the news on Twitter with footage of him announcing to the NXT locker room that Alicia would be getting the call up to the main roster.

Mike Rome, the current WWE Friday Night Smackdown announcer, is slated to be heading back to NXT after a lengthy stint on the main roster.
With Alicia doing the announcing for WWE SmackDown and Samantha Irvin doing the announcing for WWE Raw, this means for the first time ever the WWE main roster will have two black women announcing on their main programs.
