Major League Wrestling announced that Davey Boy Smith Jr. will compete in the 40-wrestler Battle Riot at MLW Battle Riot VI on June 1. The winner of the match will earn a shot at the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

Some among those who have battled with Davey Boy Smith Jr. say it’s like attempting to wrestle a freight train. He’s big, he’s unstoppable and there’s really no way to derail him in the Battle RIOT!
Having the distinction of being a member of the last class to graduate from the famed Hart Family Dungeon in Calgary, Davey Boy Smith Jr., has dominated all over the world and won championship gold on several continents… but he has yet to win the World Heavyweight Championship. If DBS can win the RIOT, he is one title fight away from realizing his lifelong goal.
A finalist in last year’s Battle RIOT, DBS looks to take it all the way and outlast the 39 other combatants in Atlanta on June 1.
WHAT IS THE BATTLE RIOT? A mash-up of a battle Royale and anything goes street fight, this super-sized main event will feature 40 wrestlers with new participants entering the ring every 60 seconds.
There will be surprises! There will be legends! There will be surprise entriants… and there will be no disqualifications!
Elimination is by pinfall, submission or by throwing an individual over the top rope.
