Ricochet's first challenger will be determined in a tournament.
On the May 3 episode of WWE Speed, Ricochet defeated Johnny Gargano to win the WWE Speed Championship Tournament. In doing so, he became the first-ever WWE Speed Champion. After the match, the broadcast team announced that a #1 contender's tournament would begin on the May 8 episode of WWE Speed.
In the first round, Apollo Crews will face Ivar, and Tyler Bate will clash with Berto. The winners of these matches will face off in the semi-finals to determine Ricochet's first challenger.

Fightful will have coverage of WWE Speed as it airs on May 8.
