AJ Styles Loves His Entrance Theme: "It Fit Me Like A Glove"

AJ Styles does not know if his music was specifically for him, but he says it is a perfect fit.

In 2016 at WWE Royal Rumble, AJ Styles appeared in the royal rumble match as the number 3 entrant. This was his first appearance in WWE in over a decade and after years cultivating fans while at New Japan Pro Wrestling and Impact Wrestling. His entrance music was composed by the duo CFO$ and seemed to be a mash-up of rap and country. The track was titled "Phenomenal", a nod to Styles' nickname. Styles told Inside the Ropes the song was exactly what he asked for from WWE.

"I got to be honest, I told them kind of what I was looking for. As much as I am from the southern part of the United States, I'm not that much of a country music fan. Do I like it? Sure. But, not that much. So, I was like 'I want that little bit of country but I love rap. So we're going to have to find a way with a cool beat.' They found a way to make it work for me," said Styles.

Despite the songs current name, he said he does not know if CFO$ composed the song for him specifically.

"I don't know if they made that song specifically for me, because I think it was made in NXT. But, I think it fit me like a glove. Now, I don't think I could imagine any other song to walk out to. It's great. I can't say enough good things about it. It worked. I don't know how or why it did. I'm very happy with it," said Styles.

CFO$ is a duo made up of John Paul Alicastro and Michael Conrad Lauri, the two musicians have been making music with each other since high school and have produced several songs for other WWE wrestlers. CFO$ also has produced Bobby Roode's "Glorious" and Enzo and Big Cass's entrance music.
