The next chapter in the Brock Lesnar-USADA saga starts with the announcement that Lesnar has been suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for Lesnar’s failed drug tests in relation to UFC 200.
Lesnar tested positive for the banned substance hydroxy-clomiphene, an anti-estrogen agent, in an out-of-competition drug test administered by USADA on June 28, as well as an in-competition test taken at UFC 200. The WWE superstar was tested by USADA eight times in advance of his July 9 fight against Mark Hunt, which Lesnar won via unanimous decision, though the positive test results only came back after UFC 200.
There is still no announcement in regards to Lesnar's victory over Hunt being overturned. He has not been disciplined by UFC directly nor has he faced any consequences from WWE, who they themselves are facing problems with their own superstars failing drug tests.
The former WWE Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion told TMZ Sports at a recent media event that he will resolve this matter with USADA and possibly hinted at a future appearance for UFC.
"To my fans that watch me in the octagon, I thank them for their support," Lesnar said. "This has been a bumpy road. I'm gonna get through this alright. And there will be a day, maybe, that they'll see me back in the octagon."
Lesnar competed in the main event of WWE SummerSlam on August 21 against Randy Orton. Lesnar busted Orton's forehead open during the match, prompting the referee and officials to stop the match.
