A welterweight division attraction is the latest addition of the UFC 219 card as #7 Carlos Condit is returning to action against #10 Neil Magny.
Condit (30-10-0) is returning for the first time in well over a year, with his last bout being a first round submission loss to Demian Maia at UFC On Fox 21. Condit is a former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion, a belt he won when he defeated Nick Diaz by unanimous decision at UFC 143. Condit also hasn’t earned a victory in over two years, with his last win coming over Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 67.
Magny (19-6-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last four UFC appearances, with his last bout being a loss to Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 215. Magny hasn’t earned a victory in just about a full year, as his last win came over former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 207. Magny is only competing for the second time this year, which is the least amount of times he fought in a single year since signing with the UFC in 2013.
UFC 219 takes place on Saturday, December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
