Charlotte Wants A Women's Royal Rumble Match: "If We Have Enough Women"--Let's Count The Possible Entrants

Charlotte has been a part of many female "firsts" on the main roster, including participating in the first (and second) ever Women's Money in the Bank match, as well as when she won the first ever Women's Hell in a Cell match, which was also the first ever women's match to main event a Pay-Per-View. But as she told Baby Huey and Bimbo Jimbo of 107.7 The Bone, there's another first that she's itching to be a part of: A Women's Royal Rumble. But only on one condition.

“If we have enough women absolutely. I think that would be great. I think that would be exciting. It’s just a matter of having enough women.”

WWE SmackDown (11/22/2024) Results: Kevin Owens & Cody Rhodes Face-to-Face, Women's US Title Tourney

Well, let's find out if the WWE could have enough women, shall we?

Assuming that Charlotte, and everyone else involved, would want it to have the same number of entrants as the Men's Royal Rumble, we need 30.

Here goes.

With the addition of Asuka to RAW, here's how the red brand roster stands.

  • 1. Asuka
  • 2. Alexa Bliss
  • 3. Bayley
  • 4. Sasha Banks
  • 5. Nia Jax
  • 6. Emma
  • 7. Mickie James
  • 8. Dana Brooke
  • 9. Alicia Fox

We're almost one-third of the way there already.

On SmackDown, provided that Paige ends up there, as expected:

  • 10. Charlotte
  • 11. Natalya
  • 12. Becky Lynch
  • 13. Naomi
  • 14. Paige
  • 15. Carmella
  • 16. Tamina

and possibly, even if just as a comedy entrant where she's eliminated immediately:

  • 17. Lana

So that's 8 on SmackDown, which brings us up to 17.

A baker's dozen left to go.

Now, Nikki and Brie Bella both say they want to make a part-time comeback when they can come back together.

What better time than at the Royal Rumble? You could even run a little Twin Magic gag somewhere in there.

I'm adding them to the list.

  • 18. Nikki Bella
  • 19. Brie Bella

And also, because I think it's finally time, let's bring back the forgotten member of the Women's Revolution, who started the faction in NXT that turned Sasha Banks into The Boss. It's time to bring back ...

  • 20. Summer Rae

We've got ten more spots to fill and several ways of going with this.

You can use the top Women of NXT, even perhaps let one of them win it if you have plans to bring her up after the Rumble anyway. So here's who I would give a shot to:

  • 21. Ember Moon
  • 22. Nikki Cross
  • 23. Billie Kay
  • 24. Peyton Royce
  • 25. Ruby Riot

Five more left. What to do?

You could bring back a few Divas from the past, even if (hopefully) for just one night. Kelly Kelly seems willing, so let's throw her in there.

  • 26. Kelly Kelly

How about a Hall of Famer or two? Maybe Trish Stratus or Lita could even get involved. Beth Phoenix, maybe? Because I don't even know if these women are in any shape to take an over the top rope bump at this point in their lives, I'm leaving them off the list for now. But they're certainly options.

You can bring back a couple of entrants in the Mae Young Classic, possibly use this occasion to announce that they've signed with the company--giant German Jazzy Gabert seemed a popular gal with the Full Sail crowd, and she could build instant heat by eliminating several fan favorites before having a very cool staredown moment with Nia Jax.

OOH, FEMALE HOSS BATTLE.

Yes, I have decided this. Jazzy Gabert will debut at the Women's Royal Rumble, probably with a new Vince McMahon name like Brunhilda or something. She and Nia Jax will fight like Godzilla and King Kong for a bit, eliminate each other, and then begin a "who's the biggest baddest bitch in WWE" feud that will make me very happy.

Jazzy is in, and so are the final two women from the MYC, Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler.

  • 27. Jazzy Gabert
  • 28. Kairi Sane
  • 29. Shayna Baszler

One spot left, and I think you already know who it goes to.

  • 30. Ronda Rousey

Look, they're probably going to use Rousey at WrestleMania 34, and the rumor is that they want her to face Charlotte. What better way than to have Ronda eliminate Charlotte, then get eliminated herself, maybe by Sasha. Ronda and Charlotte get into it at ringside, then brawl to the back. Sets up their match at Mania perfectly.

Or maybe that's not how they'll do it.

The point is, there are a lot of different ways to get to 30 Women's Royal Rumble Entrants.  That shouldn't be an excuse as to why they won't finally make this match happen.
