MMA

Comate Americas has had some pretty big events over the years, but their biggest event is going to be taking place on Saturday, November 11.

On that night, the promotion is going to be hosting an 8 man, one night tournament and the winner is going to be getting a check for $100,000.

ESPN was the first to report the tournament.

There are no tournament participants announced at this time, but those eight participants should be announced in due time.

As far as the weight class goes, anybody wishing to win the $100,000 is going to have to come in at 135 pounds because the tournament’s going to be comprised of bantamweights.

Besides the eight competitors in the tournament, a total of four competitors are going to be competing in alternate bouts. That way if a tournament competitor gets injured at any time, there is going to be a replacement ready to replace him.

The only rule change at this time is that elbow strikes are going to be banned for the first two rounds of the tournament, but they are going to be allowed in the finals.

Much like the eight competitors in the tournament, there has been no location or venue announced for the tournament at this time.
