Final Mayweather vs. McGregor Press Conference Live Coverage

Welcome to Fightful's live coverage of the final press conference between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. These two fighters will get one last word in before they meet in the ring on August 26 in Las Vegas on pay-per-view.

We begin with Mauro Ranallo, Brian Custer and Brendan Schaub talking about Conor McGregor's success. Schaub is clearly in Conor's corner, so much so that Ranallo and Custer are almost flabbergasted. Ranallo is asked by Custer if Mayweather's demeanor has changed compared to his other fights and Ranallo said this will be like any other fight buildup.

Dark Side Of The Cage To Premiere In January, Will Cover Ronda Rousey, Matt Hughes, Kimbo Slice, More

The panel discusses the merits of McGregor going the distance against Mayweather. Ranallo and Custer agree that it'll be a moral victory while Schaub disagrees. Ranallo doesn't think McGregor will be able to last the whole 12 rounds and there's some awkward silence between all three panelists. Ranallo and Schaub continue to argue and Schaub compares McGregor's ability to switch things up to Vasyl Lomachenko and Terence Crawford.

Ranallo is most displeased with that remark.

It's 4:22 and there's still no press conference. The panel are actually pondering the possibility that McGregor is running late by design just to get in Mayweather's head. Schaub is still praising McGregor a little too much and said his money is on McGregor to win.

The press conference begins with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe talking on the podium. Neither fighters are on the stage and so we'll get even more stalling. Ellerbe, Richard Sturm and Bob Bennett of the Nevada State Athletic Commission spend almost 10 minutes talking, clearly stalling for time.

There's a lot more stalling and it's incredibly boring until WBC president Mauicio Sulaiman announces the fight will be for the inaugural WBC "Money" Belt.

The fighters finally arrive and McGregor speaks for only a few minutes and doesn't say anything that we haven't already heard. Mayweather is on the podium and talks up his boxing acumen.

Before the fighters pose, they receive a few questions from the media.

That concludes the live coverage for the final Mayweather vs. McGregor press conference. Follow Fightful for more coverage on this fight and tune in to our post-pay-per-view show with Sean Ross Sapp, "Showdown" Joe Ferraro and Carlos Toro immediately after Mayweather vs. McGregor ends.
