Goldberg Admits Injury From Monday Night Raw

Goldberg is heading into Sunday's Survivor Series a little banged up.

When speaking to NBC Sports to promote the event, the former WCW Champion admitted that he injured his shoulder on Monday's episode of Raw.

"My body feels horrible. I tweaked my shoulder last night (on Raw), but that doesn't mean in five days that I'm not going to come out kicking ass and taking names like I always do," said Goldberg.

The injury is cause for concern, as Goldberg is wrestling his first match in 12 years. Working a match injured with the likes of Brock Lesnar worries Goldberg from a performance aspect.

“You know five days removed from going up against one of the baddest dudes on the planet, I don’t want to be feeling like that. I’m terrified. I want to satisfy the people. I want to make my family proud of me, but at the end of the day, I’m never going to be able to satisfy myself. I just want to do it to where I can look myself in the mirror and be appreciative of the work that I put in and the performance that I did.” Goldberg said.

Goldberg also stated that he thought slipping on Monday Night Raw during his segment with Rusev was his body telling him to slow down. Goldberg previously stated that he'd not trained in-ring for his return.

Goldberg will face Brock Lesnar in the main event of Survivor Series Sunday. Fightful.com will have full coverage, and a live, post-show podcast.
