Luis Henrique has suffered an injury and he has bben pulled from next weekend’s UFC 208 card, he was scheduled to fight Marcin Tybura in a heavyweight division attraction.
The exact nature of the injury has yet to be revealed, neither the UFC, Tybura or Henrique himself have yet to comment on the situation. UFC officials are currently seeking a replacement for Henrique and Fightful will bring you that opponent once they have been announced.
Tybura (14-2-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, defeating Viktor Pesta and suffering a defeat to Timothy Johnson. Tybura is a former M-1 Challenge Heavyweight Champion, he defeated fellow UFC veteran Damian Grabowski to win the belt in 2014. This fight will be marking the UFC pay-per-view debut for Tybura, who’s previously battles under the UFC banner have all come in fight night events.
This is not the first fight on the UFC 208 card to fall by the wayside due to injuries, as Randy Brown is still waiting for an opponent after George Sullivan was pulled from the card due to a potential USADA violation.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie headlining.
