On a night where UFC had its first five fights of the main card for UFC Fight Night 110 go for just a little more of 25 minutes of inside-the-octagon action, it’s main event took its sweet time with Mark Hunt capping off the evening with a fourth-round finish.

Hunt defeated Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight bout in the headliner for UFC’s show in Auckland, New Zealand in the fourth round.

Round Four: The round begins with Hunt attacking Lewis with some leg kicks, the fighters also start jabbing away at each other. Hunt rocks Lewis with some jabs followed by a right, Lewis recovers and pops a ducking Hunt with a left. Hunt starts attacking the midsection of Lewis with strikes, Lewis backs up Hunt with a punching combination. Hunt makes Lewis stumble by landing a two punch combination, Lewis responds by hitting Hunt with a jumping knee strike. Hunt pummels Lewis with a multiple strike combination and the referee jumps in.

Official Result: #7 Mark Hunt def. #6 Derrick Lewis by TKO via strikes (3:51, R4)

Lewis would then announce in the post-fight interview that he re-injured his lower back and is likely retiring from the sport. If he does follow through on his retirement plans, he'll retire with an 18-5 (1 NC) record.

Hunt got his first win since beating Frank Mir over a year ago at UFC Fight Night 85, which capped a two-fight win streak at the time. Hunt also recorded his 10th career MMA win via knockout.

On the other hand, Lewis’ six-fight win streak, which included wins over Travis Browne and Roy Nelson, was put to a halt.
