Aiemann Zahabi made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 105 and he would defeat Reginaldo Vieira by unanimous decision.
The UFC newcomer is a member of the legendary Zahabi Family, which includes trainer Firas Zahabi and he likes the pressure the family name brings.
“A lot of people think I was going to feel the pressure, but I love it,” Zahabi told MMA Junkie. “It was a gift to have people care about what’s going to happen with you and your performance.”
Zahabi was one of three fighters who made their UFC debuts at UFC Fight Night 105, the other two were Gavin Tucker and Gina Mazany. With his first UFC win under his belt, Zahabi wants to speak with the UFC matchmaker to see who’s next for him.
“There’s only one place to go, and that’s to Sean Shelby,” says Zahabi. “Hopefully he’ll contact me or my brother, and we’ll get chatting, see what’s up. … No names, Sean Shelby gives me the names. He’s the man with the options, so we’ll see what play he wants to do and hopefully we’ll get a good fight for May or June.”
Zahabi won six fights prior to his UFC debut, with all six of those wins coming by first round finish.
