Alex Pereira Prepared For Israel Adesanya Trying To Grapple With Him At UFC 281: "Anything Can Happen"

If their fight heads to the mat, UFC middleweight contender, Alex Pereira, is prepared to grapple with middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya.

Pereira spoke with reporters at the media day for this Saturday night's UFC 281 pay-per-view event in New York City ahead of his meeting with Adesanya and explained why if the reigning 185-pound king tries to take him down, he will view it as more of a sign of desperation than strategy.

“Anything can happen – many possibilities,” Pereira said via a translator (h/t MMA Junkie). “Maybe Israel can go and try to take me down. If that happens, it’s going to be more of desperation instead of strategy.”
