Top UFC flyweight contenders Askar Askarov and Kai Kara-France are expected to collide at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on March 26 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
MMA Junkie's Farah Hannoun and John Morgan were the first to report the news of the matchup, with Askarov confirming it himself with a post via his Instagram account, although the promotion has yet to officially announce anything itself. Askarov is undefeated as a pro mixed martial artist so far throughout his career, going 14-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in his four Octagon outings. He's coming off of a unanimous decision win over former UFC title challenger, Joseph Benavidez, back at UFC 259 in March. Kara-France on the other hand is 4-2 in his last six bouts and will try to build off of a first-round TKO win over former UFC bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, at UFC 269 earlier this month.
