The Bad Luck Continues: Ian McCall Falls Ill; Off UFC 208

MMA

Ian McCall may be the most snake bitten fighter in UFC history, because for the fifth straight time, a fight he’s involved in has been canceled.

This time it’s McCall’s fault the fight has been canceled, as he started suffering from gastrointestinal issues this morning and was transported to a hospital. Shortly after, the New York State Athletic Commission pulled McCall from his fight with Jarred Brooks.

Brooks posted the following on his Twitter:

A welterweight division fight between Ryan LaFlare and Roan Carneiro has been moved up to the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card to replace the McCall/Brooks fight on the card.

McCall has had fights from UFC Fight Night 73, UFC 201, UFC 203, UFC Fight Night 99, and now UFC 208 canceled due to illnesses, injuries, and weight cutting issues with opponents.

UFC 208 takes place tonight from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie headlining.
