Bellator MMA ran unopposed last weekend with a Bellator 185 card that had a main event pitting UFC veteran Gegard Mousasi against former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko.
The show drew a total of 476,000 viewers for the live broadcast and 47,000 viewers through DVR viewership, meaning a total of 523,000 viewers checked out the event in all.
This is well below the average viewership Bellator MMA has drawn throughout 2017, with the promotion averaging 660,000 viewers per event this year.
Injuries impacted the card in a big way, with a bout between King Mo (later Bubba McDaniel) and Liam McGeary being canned, plus the loss of a Davis Rickels versus Brenna Ward fight just days before the event.
Other main card fights that aired on Spike TV saw Neiman Gracie defeat Zak Bucia, Kristina Williams defeat Heather Hardy, Lisa Blaine defeat Ana Julaton and Ryan Quinn defeat Marcus Surin.
It was the main event fight between Mousasi and Shlemenko that drew the most viewers, with a total of 792,000 people checking out the fight.
There was some sports related competition going head to head with Bellator 185, including the MLB American League Championship Series and NBA basketball games.
Bellator MMA returns to Spike TV on Friday, October 3 with Bellator 186 and the main event will see Ryan Bader defend the light heavyweight title against Linton Vassell.
