It was reported earlier this month by Fightful that the UFC has moved January’s UFC 208 event from Anaheim, California to Allbany, New York and a new date in February. This move didn’t go unnoticed by the rival Bellator MMA promotion, which has posted the following on its official Twitter account:
Don't worry SoCal, we'll be here for you #Bellator170: Ortiz vs Sonnen

UFC 208 would have gone head to head with Bellator 170, which is being headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz and fellow UFC veteran Chael Sonnen.
UFC and Bellator MMA have gone head to head before, before this year is up, they will be going head to head again with Bellator 167 up against UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale (December 3) and UFC 206 up against Bellator 168 (December 10).
As far as overall live events go for the remainder of 2017, the UFC will be running a total of five events and Bellator MMA will be running a total of four events, there are only four weeks left in the month.
