Bobby Green Believes UFC Champ Islam Makhachev Takes Steroids: "There Was Something Interesting About Islam"

UFC lightweight contender, Bobby Green, believes current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, has been doing steroids since his childhood.

Green spoke with reporters during the media day for UFC Vegas 66 ahead of his bout with Drew Dober this weekend and explained why he believes Makhachev has been taking performance-enhancing drugs for most of his life. The 36-year-old San Bernardino, California native was defeated by Makhachev via a first-round TKO at UFC Vegas 49 back in February, in what was Green's latest Octagon appearance.

"He does his thing...gosh, I don't know if I should do this," Green said. "But I'm so real, I'm the realest. I was f***ing around on my YouTube right, and I found this little video that said Islam had a little trouble with drugs. But I don't see people talking about him. He was saying when he first came over, that...his school that he trained at in Russia, they just gave him vitamins you know. They've been doing this since who knows when. Imagine if you gave someone steroids from the age of 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, etc...How strong you would be. There's two people I've moved around with, I'm not going to say they names, but I was like that's interesting and I've moved with thousands of guys, that was interesting. I told my coach the same thing, there was something interesting about Islam, and I felt it. I'm like, that's just not human. I wondered why those Dagestanis were winning so much, they've been bred to do this. That's why they can train a nine-year-old against a bear. They've been bred to be better than us, I'm sorry. It's just what it is, we're a little too pussified over here."
