Former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, is interested in facing UFC featherweight champ, Alexander Volkanovski, but only if the reigning 145-pound king puts his title up for grabs as well.
Oliveira spoke with reporters during Wednesday's media day for Saturday's UFC 280 event in Abu Dhabi ahead of his showdown with Islam Makhachev and made it clear that he'd fight Volkanovski as early as the promotion's scheduled UFC 284 card in Perth, Australia on February 12, as long as the featherweight title is on the line.
"First of all, we're going to focus on what's going to happen here", Oliveira said. "My timing is to actually fight in Brazil afterward regardless. If we're going to make this happen with Volkanovski, we're going to have it two ways. We're going to fight in two weight divisions. I can fight there (Australia) in February, but for his belt."
