Poberezhets (24-5-1-1NC) will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he will be doing so on the strength of a thirteen fight winning streak, a winning streak that has lasted nearly five years. Poberezhets fought UFC veteran Daniel Omielanczuk at a January 2011 Fight On The East MMA event, the two fought to a draw. Poberezhets also held The Zone MMA Heavyweight Title, but he never actually defended the gold since winning it in November 2012 and he hasn’t competed in the promotion in over four years.
