After a run at featherweight, Clay Guida will be returning to the lightweight division at UFC Fight Night 112, doing so against Erik Koch.
Guida (32-17-0) has won just one of his last four fights under the UFC banner, with those losses coming to Brian Ortega, Thiago Tavares and Dennis Bermudez. During his seven fight stint in the featherweight division, the returning lightweight earned a record of 3-4-0. Guida earned a total of nine wins during his first run at lightweight, with some notable wins coming over Nate Diaz and Anthony Pettis.
Koch (15-4-0) has only competed once in the last three years, with that fight being a submission victory over Shane Campbell at UFC Fight Night 88. Koch has earned a total of four wins in the UFC, besides the win over Campbell, the fighter has also defeated Jonathan Brookins, Raphael Assuncao and Rafaello Oliveira. Koch also competed four times in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, where he defeated fellow UFC fighter Francisco Rivera.
UFC Fight Night 112 takes place on Sunday, June 25 from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with no main event announced at this time. Fightful will provide live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
