Nearly two years after making his UFC debut, and three and a half years after announcing his UFC deal, former WWE Champion CM Punk had his second UFC fight.
It wasn't Punk's first fight of the week, as he was able to emerge victorious in a legal battle over WWE doctor Chris Amann. But for Punk, his legacy was on the line taking on another winless fighter in Jackson.
In a miserable fight to take in, Mike Jackson controlled the majority of the fight, save a takedown from CM Punk. The result after a peppering on the feet was a 30-26 unanimous decision victory for Mike Jackson. After the fight, Jackson teased participating in Zuffa Boxing.
Joe Rogan planned on speaking to Punk after the fight, but instead, the former pro wrestling superstar left the cage following his opponent without saying a word.
