Cody Garbrandt became the UFC Bantamweight Champion at UFC 207, when he defeated longtime champion Dominick Cruz by unanimous decision.
Garbrandt knows there's no shortage of names to take on, and has plenty in mind.
“Now there’s a new hit list — it’s TJ next, then Jose Aldo and then Conor McGregor,” Garbrandt said to Fox Sports. “I know my responsibilities against TJ and what I bring to the table and what kind of fight it’s going to be.”
Garbrandt’s next fight will be against a former UFC Bantamweight Champion in TJ Dillashaw, somebody he allegedly beat up during their time in Team Alpha Male.
“I was whooping on him when he was here (at Team Alpha Male),” Garbrandt said. “He wants to say we don’t have the video, we don’t have this and that, I’m lying. Well it’s going to be good to set truth. The truth shall set you free. So I’m excited to go out here and tell the story how it really went down.”
Garbrandt and Dillashaw will be coaches on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25, which is expected to debut on Wednesday, April 19…it will be a two hour special episode with 24 fighters battling to get into the house.
