Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt suffered a first round knockout loss to Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235, which was his third straight loss in the UFC.
There was an accidental headbutt between the two early in the fight, which caused Garbrandt to go into auto-pilot mode from there on out.
Garbrandt would reveal what happened to him via a series of tweets:
I got head butted and after the head butt I was on auto pilot, congrats to Pedro he stuck tough. I love this fight game. I’ll be back thank you to all my supporters means a lot! https://t.co/AbIYDOCJxg

The losing fighter in Garbrandt could file an appeal with the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) to try and have the loss overturned to a no contest, but no such move has been made by the former bantamweight champion at this time. The only chance that Garbrandt would have to get the result overturned is if the NSAC determined that the accidental headbutt is what lead to the fights finish and not the striking exchange that lead to the knockout.
