Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley was supposed to face Leon Edwards this weekend on a UFC Fight Night card, but Edwards pulled out of the event due to the recent travel restrictions based on the coronavirus.
With Woodley needing a new opponent for this Saturday’s card, a three pack of fighters have stepped up, with the first being former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington:
Word on the street is @LeonScott is out. The @ufc and America need a hero. Who wants see America’s Champ put the #MAGA cape on and beat the fuck out of @twooodley live on @ESPN next week for your entertainment and my own personal pleasure? ----------

However, it seems that Woodley isn’t buying what Covington is selling, as the former champion posted the following on Instagram:
Another fighter who stepped up is Gilbert Burns, who just competed this past weekend at UFC Fight Night Brasilia and Burns made his challenge through Twitter:
Come on @danawhite I said yesterday I’m saying again I fight Woodley Saturday! Put me in WOODLEY X BURNS! ---- @seanshelby @AliAbdelaziz00 @ufc @UFCBrasil #AAA

The final fighter to step up for now is former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos, who also pitched a grand prix style event for this weekend:
I think my brother @gilbertburns deserves to fight Woodley this weekend. If for any reason he can’t, I’m ready to step in if the UFC needs me. I heard Colby is also up for a fight on Saturday, so if Durinho gets Woodley, let’s do it old school Grand Prix style!

There has been no announcement yet from the UFC as to who’ll get to face Woodley this weekend at the Fight Night event.
