Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal allegedly got into a physical altercation outside of a Miami, Florida restaurant on Monday night.

Fox Sports 640's Andy Slater was the first to report the news via a tweet, revealing that the two UFC welterweight stars had gotten into a fight at the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami Beach. TMZ Sports additionally reported on the incident that Covington was having dinner with the social media influencers The Nelk Boys at the South Beach eatery and as he was leaving is when Masvidal attacked him. Masvidal gave his side of things via the following tweet about an hour or so after the events were reported, basking in what he had apparently done to Covington. This all comes just a little over two weeks after the former training partners turned rivals fought in the main event at UFC 272, where Covington defeated Masvidal via a mostly one-sided unanimous decision. Authorities in Miami Beach have yet to report any information on the incident.

“Calling this the show-your-face challenge, you know?” Masvidal said (h/t MMA Junkie). “Um, what’s up? I’m from Dade County. You talk that sh*t, you gotta back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”
