Combate Americas Returning On August 28, Flyweight Title Bout Headlining First Of Three Cards

Combate Americas, much like a lot of MMA promotions, were forced to temporarily halt their business due to the coronavirus, but now the promotion is ready to return to action.

The promotion announced earlier today that they will return to action with cards on August 28, September 11 and September 25. The main event of the August 28 show is going to be for the vacant flyweight title as Juan Puerta faces David Duran, no main events have been announced for the remaining two events at this time.

All events are going to be held at a closed set in Miami, Florida and the promotion will also have a dedicated physician to administer coronavirus tests to everybody involved in the shows. The events will also be airing live on AXS TV, TUDN USA and Univision. The Florida State Boxing Commission (FSBC) will also oversee the events, as they are the same athletic commission that oversaw the UFC’s return this past May.
