This Thursday Night’s Combates Americas event will be broadcast live on ESPN Latin America, which will make the event available in 47 million homes across Latin America and beyond.
The deal will be exclusively for the promotion’s Thursday Night card and only for that card, but depending on the ratings the event gathers, it could lead to more events airing on the network.
ESPN Latin America is available in 47.6 million homes in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Combate’s Americas current has an English language broadcast that airs on UFC Fight Pass, plus a Spanish language broadcast that airs on TV Azteca.
The deal with TV Azteca usually sees the promotions event air on a one day tape delay, UFC Fight Pass airs the event live.
Between the three broadcasting deals (ESPN Latin America, TV Azteca & UFC Fight Pass), the event can be seen by over 100 million homes.
Combate’s Americas company president is Alberto Del Rio/El Patron, who is a former multi-time WWE Champion and former professional MMA fighter.
Combate’s Americas 10 takes place on Thursday, January 19 from the El Plaza Condesa in Mexico City, Mexico with Gustavo Lopez and Steve Swanson headlining.
