Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble event.
Conor McGregor is the current UFC Lightweight Champion and he is beyond happy for Rousey transitioning to the pro wrestling promotion.
“I’m delighted for her,” McGregor said to Adam Glyn. “Absolutely over the moon for her. She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event, and I was very, very happy to see her. She’s a pioneer for the game, and she’s came through it all and faced big wins and big losses. And she came through it, and it’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in the WWE.”
McGregor had teased WWE appearances in the past, but recently took a shot at the wrestling company, saying “f*ck WWE.”
One big reason that McGregor is so happy for the former women’s bantamweight champion is because he knows Rousey is a huge fan of pro wrestling.
“I know she’s been a big fan of it through all her life. So it’s great to see that,” says McGregor.
Rousey is expected to make her pro wrestling debut this coming April at WWE Wrestlemania 34, but nothing has been made official yet.
