McGregor doesn’t just expect to walk away with a victory at UFC 246, but is also expecting a big paycheck for competing on the card.
“I’m confident it’s gonna be a nice paycheck,” McGregor said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Tristen Critchfield of Sherdog). “Probably [the most] in my mixed martial arts career. I’m estimating a good $80 million.”
There is no word yet on what the fighters competing on the UFC 246 card will make, as that information is generally released a short time after the event.
The UFC star is just 31 years old, but predicts that he’ll be a billionaire at the age of 35 years old.
“I’ll be a billionaire by the time I’m 35,” he said. “I’m still a good way away, but I’ll get there. I’ve got the methods and it’s something that excites me.”
UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
