Conor McGregor Reacts To Khabib Nurmagomedov's Retirement: "Straight From My Big Irish Balls"

Conor McGregor sends off Khabib Nurmagomedov with a touch of salt.

McGregor (22-5) and Nurmagomedov (29-0) have a no-love-lost feud that peaked with Nurmagomedov's win over McGregor at UFC 229. McGregor posted a chummy photo of the rivals on Instagram following Dana White's confirmation on Thursday that Nurmagomedov will stay retired.

"Happy retirement kid, smell ya later. Never forget who came in the game and made ye. Straight from my big Irish balls," McGregor captioned the Instagram post. "Remember folks, if you hate cutting weight so much, all you have to do is move up a division. God bless."

The feud between Nurmagomedov and McGregor's camps hit a fever pitch at the conclusion of UFC 229. After scoring a fourth-round submission, "The Eagle" hopped the fence and started brawling with McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis. Members of Nurmagomedov's camp also entered the Octagon and exchanged strikes with McGregor. Prior to that, McGregor insulted Nurmagomedov's religion and threw a dolly into a bus that Nurmagomedov and other fighters were on.
