Corey Anderson Blasts Anthony Smith, Brands Him "Bitchheart"

MMA

Since moving to Light Heavyweight, Anthony Smith has won four of his five UFC outings. However, not everyone is convinced.

After defeating Alexander Gustafsson in Stockholm, Smith dismissed talk from Corey Anderson and Luke Rockhold, telling them to "do something to earn it." A week later and Anderson has responded, posting a thread on Twitter and critiquing Smith's contender credentials.

While Anderson's perspective on Smith is debatable, his own resume is not. Currently 8th in the UFC Light Heavyweight standings, Anderson is riding a three fight win streak, outpointing Ilir Latifi, Glover Teixeira and Patrick Cummins respectively. Anderson entered the octagon as a 3-0 prospect but became an Ultimate Fighter winner and has since firmly established himself as a ranked contender in the 205 pound landscape.

He'll have to wait a while for a potential fight with Smith though, as 'Lionheart' broke his hand opposite Gustafsson and expressed a desire to take a break from the fight Cgame. Nonetheless, Anderson's stock will only continue to rise if he remains in the win column.
