Highly touted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor Craig Jones will take on undefeated MMA fight and ADCC gold medalist Gabi Garcia in an intergender grappling contest, according to an Instagram post from Jones who says he will retire if he loses to Garcia. The match will be streamed free according to Jones and will take place this Sunday, March 28.

“Sunday, flying into LA to fight Gabi Garcia,” Craig Jones said (h/t BJPenn.com). “We’ll do a no time limit match in her gym and we’ll stream that free, supposedly, yeah. 100-percent [it’s happening]. Hopefully [it goes] well for me (laughs). Otherwise, if I lose I’ll retire. If I lose to Gabi I’ll retire. Just no time limit, sub only. Obviously, a lot of people think it’s a joke, but just because of the interest we thought why not? Jump in. Flo Grappling wouldn’t touch it but we’ll stream it free.”

The pair were originally set to meet at UFC Vegas 20 but Brown was forced to withdraw from the bout due to undisclosed reasons. Patricky Freire set to take on Peter Queally at Bellator 258 in May

Expect fireworks between lightweight Patricky Freire and Peter Queally as the pair is set to meet at Bellator 258 on May 7, first reported by MMAFighting's Guilherme Cruz. The two were originally set to face off in October 2020 but the event was cancelled due to COVID-19. Franciso Trinaldo will move to 170-pounds and make his welterweight debut against Muslim Salikhov at a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on June 5, first reported by MMAFighting's Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz. Trinaldo a long-time fringe contender in the promotion's lightweight division is 4-1 in his last five fights, defeating Jai Herbert via a third-round TKO in his last outing at UFC Fight Island 3 and deciding to move up in weight after missing weight by five pounds against Herbert. Salikhov is on a four-fight winning streak currently and last beat Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos via a split-decision at UFC 251.
