Curtis Blaydes Won't Fight Jon Jones On Current "$200,000" Deal

Jon Jones vacated the UFC light heavyweight title in order to move up to heavyweight and one person he could be fighting in the future is Curtis Blaydes.

Blaydes says he is willing to fight Jones at heavyweight, but not for the $200,000 that his UFC contract currently pays.

"We're talking about money. I'm not going to fight Jon Jones for $200,000. That's ridiculous. I think a lot of people forget that we get paid what we get paid regardless of who the opponent is... I can fight a bum to make $200,000,” Blaydes said to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.

The fighter did not mention an amount he would take for a heavyweight division encounter against Jones.

However, Blaydes must first focus on Derrick Lewis before Jones, as he and Lewis headline this Saturday Night’s UFC Vegas 15 card.
