Cyborg Claims Germaine De Randamie’s Running From Her

MMA

Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is the current Invicta Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion and she’s also undefeated under the UFC banner at 2-0-0 in the promotion.

Cyborg, as soon as her issued with USADA are cleared up, will be next in line for a shot at UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Germaine De Randamie, who defeated Holly Holm at UFC 208 to win the gold.

Justino, who’s bout with De Randamie isn’t even official yet, is claiming that De Randamie is running from her.

"That was something me and my team were already expecting to happen. Whoever won that title was going to retire or anything else that would make them keep the title for as long as possible. We were prepared for that. As soon as they said I was the next challenger, Germaine started talking about having to have surgery on her hand. That changes nothing, I'm the world champion whether or not I fight for the belt,” Cyborg said to Combate.

It's worth noting that Cris Cyborg passed on fighting de Randmie twice -- once at UFC 201, as well as UFC 208.

In those two wins under the UFC banner, Cyborg defeated both Leslie Smith and Lina Lansberg. She also competed in the first ever women’s featherweight division fight in UFC history.

As far as the champion goes, she has already talked about giving an immediate rematch to the woman she defeated at UFC 208, Holly Holm.
