The UFC will finally make their long-awaited return to full crowds for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic with UFC 261, UFC President Dana White announced via his Twitter account.

White announced the event which will take place April 24 from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida will be the promotion's first live event in front of a full crowd since UFC 248 in March 2020. Also confirmed for the card was the highly anticipated rematch between UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal as the card's main event. The pair previously met at UFC 251 with Masvidal taking the fight on just a week's notice, Usman ultimately would win the bout by a dominant unanimous decision. Also featured on the card will be two other title fights, UFC women's flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her belt against Jessica Andrade and UFC women's strawweight champion Weili Zhang will faceoff with Rose Namajunas.
