There are some big fights heading our way in the future, including a three pack of championship encounters.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN recently spoke with UFC President Dana White, who confirmed #2 Brian Ortega vs. #3 Zabit Magomedsharipov for UFC 249, UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo defending against #7 Jose Aldo at UFC 250, UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski versus #1 Max Holloway for UFC 251 and UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman against #3 Jorge Masvidal for UFC 252.
Three of those announced bouts (Volkanovski/Holloway, Cejudo/Aldo and Usman/Masvidal) have previously been reported on Fightful. Also, locations for both UFC 251 and UFC 252 have no confirmed locations at this time, while UFC 249 is set for Brooklyn, New York and UFC 250 is set for Sao Paulo, Brazil.
If all these bouts are now official, it would mean that UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic and two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes are the only title holders without fights booked at the moment. Miocic hasn't competed since defeating Daniel Cormier to win the UFC Heavyweight Title at UFC 241, while Nunes hasn't competed since defending the women's bantamweight title at UFC 245.
