UFC President Dana White confirms that he and Nate Diaz are meeting to plan Diaz's next UFC fights.
Diaz was spotted in attendance at Saturday's card headlined by Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal 2. White subsequently told media at the UFC 261 post-fight press conference that Diaz wants another fight and is waiting to hear back from the promotion.
"He's waiting for me in the back," White said, confirming an impending meeting with the Stockton-native.
Diaz (26-9-0-2) has not competed since a 2015 fight vs. Anderson Silva at UFC 183. The fight was originally ruled a unanimous decision for Silva but was later overturned to a no-contest due to flagged substances. Diaz, 37, has not won a professional mixed martial arts bout since beating B.J. Penn in October 2011. No opponent was teased for Diaz's potential comeback.
