Dana White Not Happy With UFC Brooklyn Main Event Stoppage

UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo defeated UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw by first round TKO in the main event of UFC Fight Night Brooklyn.

Dillashaw has already called the fight stoppage controversial and UFC President Dana White agrees with the bantamweight champion.

“I thought it was an early stoppage, too,” White said at the post-fight press conference (via MMA Junkie). “You’ve got two of the best guys in the world, two world champions in a superfight. Let them fight; let them finish.”

The victory for Cejudo may have saved the flyweight division, which many believe would be eliminated sometime this year.

White would be the first to admit that Cejudo did a lot of damage to Dillashaw in the brief time they were in the Octagon.

“I’m not taking anything away from Cejudo, because the fight went 20 seconds and Cejudo busted him up,” White said. “I’m sure you saw (Dillashaw) sitting here; he looks like he was in a three-round fight. But Jesus Christ, let them fight. Horrible stoppage.”

Cejudo has offered a rematch to Dillashaw, but wants their second fight to happen with the UFC Bantamweight Championship on the line.
