UFC President Dana White isn't so keen on the idea of a potential boxing bout between UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.
White spoke with the media in the post-fight press conference following UFC 268 this Saturday night and despite Usman stating recently his interest of wanting to face Alvarez, after watching the Mexican combat sports superstar's 11th-round TKO victory over Caleb Plant over the weekend, the UFC's head honcho said it's an idea that should be put to rest.
“I watched the Canelo fight tonight,” White said (MMA Fighting). “You don’t want to fight Canelo. C’mon, man, let’s stop this sh*t. If Canelo wants to come over here, let’s do it. He don’t want to box Canelo.”
