Dana White Provides Updates On Conor McGregor, CM Punk, Floyd Mayweather & Brock Lesnar

UFC President Dana White is a busy man, especially with the UFC celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2018.

Busy or not, one thing the UFC President has decided to do in an interview with the NY Post is to update fans on some of the UFC’s biggest stars and also on a boxing legend.

Deontay Wilder On Potential Fight With Francis Ngannou: That’s A Conversation That I’m Still Looking To Have

Up first is UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, whom White still doesn’t know if he will fight in the Octagon again.

“I don’t know,” White said. “I don’t wait for anybody. I run my business, I keep rolling and that’s it. The kid’s got $100 million. Who knows, he might never fight again.”

McGregor hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since UFC 205, when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC Lightweight Title.

Floyd Mayweather is a boxing legend who defeated McGregor by tenth round TKO this past August in the UFC Lightweight Champion’s pro boxing debut.

White would like to see Mayweather compete in the Octagon and the UFC President also believes people want to see the boxing great take a kick to the face.

“If Floyd wants to fight in the octagon and get out of his Showtime deal, let’s do it,” White said. “I think that’s the only way people would care this time. Do you know how many people want to see that guy take a shin to the face?”

Former WWE Champion CM Punk made his professional MMA debut at UFC 203, suffering a defeat to Mickey Gall.

Punk wants another shot in the UFC and White is willing to give him one.

“I like that guy. He’s a good dude,” White said. “He wants one more. He wants to get another shot. I’m going to give it to him.”

Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion and is also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who was last seen in the Octagon at UFC 200.

The UFC President wants to see Lesnar back in the Octagon because he knows the WWE star just loves to fight.

“I think he’ll give it one more run,” White said. “I just think Brock loves to fight.”

UFC 220 is next for the promotion and it’s president, which takes place tonight with two title bouts headlining the card.
