Former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor and some pals decided to attack a bus full of UFC fighters a few days before UFC 223, allegedly trying to get at UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
UFC President Dana White has spoken to McGregor after the attack and he claims everything is good now.
“We talked, it’s good,” White said at the UFC 223 post-fight press conference. “I think that there’s a mutual respect between us and obviously this week, I had so many things thrown at me. To focus on this show was insane. We’ll get back and we’ll focus on Conor McGregor.”
McGregor had turned himself into the authorities after the attack and has been released after posting $50,000 bail.
White believes the situation isn’t so bad, especially when you compare it to other professional sports.
“At the end of the day, there’s a lot worse that goes on in all the other sports, so I’ll take a dolly through a window any day,” says White.
There has been no punishment to McGregor by the UFC, but UFC star Michael Chiesa has reportedly filed a police report after the attack.
